Biography

Born in Madrid, Spain, and currently based in Boston, MA, Esther Garcia Moreno is a highly versatile and expressive pianist whose career spans collaborative and solo performance, chamber music, vocal coaching, and music education. Known for her transparent musicianship, emotional depth, and refined tone, Esther has distinguished herself as a collaborative artist with a strong international presence.

Esther is a staff pianist at Berklee College of Music, where she works closely with the Vocal Department. She is also the choir pianist for the acclaimed Grammy Award winner organization Boston Children’s Chorus, and serves as a piano instructor and vocal coach at Brookline Music School and Solomon Schechter Day School.Her work as a performer and educator reflects her deep commitment to fostering musical growth in both young artists and seasoned professionals.

She began her formal music studies at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música Arturo Soria in Madrid, where she earned the Grado Profesional de Música in 2017 and was awarded Honorable Mentions in both Chamber Music and Relaxation Techniques and Anxiety Management. She later moved to the United States to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and went on to complete a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at Boston University under the mentorship of Professor Shiela Kibbe.

Her artistry has been recognized in several international settings. She has performed in Spain, Italy, Mexico, and the United States, including appearances at festivals such as Pirineos Classics (Canfranc, Spain), Clásicos Colgados(Cuenca, Spain), and La Música Lírica (Novafeltria, Italy). She was awarded as a prizewinner of the VI International Gloria Artis Music Competition (Vienna, 2026) and in the Music Education category by the Euterpe Music Club (Greensboro, North Carolina, 2021), and received an Honorable Mention in the Queen Royalty Division at the Young Artists Competition (Raleigh, North Carolina, 2018).

As a collaborative pianist, Esther has participated in masterclasses with renowned figures such as  conductors Joseph Rescigno and Pietro Billi, vocalists Peter Volpe and Dolores Ziegler, BSO clarinetist Chris Elchino, Boston Ballet Orchestra clarinetist David Martins, cellist Norman Fischer, and pianists  Carmen Martínez-Pierret, Josep Colom and Denis Pascal.

Esther is an enthusiastic, empathetic, and dedicated educator. She has designed and taught multiple curricula, both individual and group-based, for elementary, middle, and high school students, using singing, rhythmic games, and phonetic exercises to encourage socialization, self-awareness, and musical development. Her approach as a teacher is deeply influenced by her experience in different educational institutions and is distinguished by an individualized methodology based on various teaching and learning strategies that adapt to her students’ needs.

A multifaceted musician, Esther enjoys a wide repertoire that spans genres such as classical music, opera, musical theater, pop, R&B, and jazz. Her greatest inspiration comes from collaborating and performing with other soloists, chamber music groups, choirs, and orchestras, which enrich her artistic expression and expand her professional journey.
